An Environmental Sustainability Programme is about to start with Onslow College and selected Harbourside Market stallholders. Ten of Harbourside Market’s finest stallholders will work in close collaboration with social studies students from Onslow College over the coming weeks to identify ways to minimise waste at the market and also to highlight the farm to fork process of how foods is sourced and how it arrives at your table. This is a really exciting programme that will enable students to gain an understanding of how the market works and where produce is sourced from. The programme will be guided by PwC (Price Waterhouse Coopers Climate Change Team) and the outcomes from this programme will be published over the coming weeks as a feature in the monthly market newsletters.
